Men have traditionally been considered to be the stronger sex. However, male roles have been under pressure for decades, and the whole #MeeToo campaign and sexism debate is very much about women who feel offended by men.
It is the fewest men who shout that they are being subjected to violence in the relationship, although it also occurs, although it is not nearly as frequent as violence against women.
However, men are often hit even harder mentally because they feel the shame and have a hard time admitting that it happens because it is very taboo. Manifesto – The Living Art therefore finds it necessary to focus on the fact that men are just as diverse, nuanced and an important piece in society as women.
If we are to be able to live in a society where men and women are equal, we need to treat both sexes with respect and see the potentials and opportunities of both sexes.
Gender equality does not mean that we should be the same.
We are looking for paintings, collages, sculptures etc.
